UCI Libraries Southeast Asian Archive

Dear Friend of the Southeast Asian Archive:

The UCI Libraries Southeast Asian Archive houses the remarkable stories and images of refugees who fled Vietnam under harrowing circumstances to become one of our regions’ largest and most successful immigrant communities. Today, the Archive is internationally recognized for documenting the Southeast Asian American experience.

In December 2010, the Vietnamese American Community Ambassadors (VACA), a group of UCI alumni and community members, launched an inspiring fundraising initiative to raise $25,000 to help fund a professional archivist to preserve and grow this important historical collection.

With just under $6000 to go, we ask for your support to help us reach our fundraising goal that will be matched by UCI. Please support the Southeast Asian Archive today by making a generous tax-deductible gift of $150 or more to the VACA Fundraising Initiative.

Your gift is vital to our efforts and will help ensure that the stories that originated from this tumultuous time are not forgotten, and are accessible to future generations.

Thank you for your support,

Lorelei Tanji
Interim University
Librarian, UCI

Daniel Do-Khanh
President, VACA

P.S. Please give online today to help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 for the Southeast Asian Archive by December 16!
